PART A — TERMS OF USE

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using this Website (Website), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (Terms), our Privacy Policy, Medical Disclaimer, and Content & Moderation Policy (together, the Legal Framework).

If you do not agree to all Terms, you must immediately cease use of the Website.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and persons who submit content to the Website.

2. Purpose of the Website

Know Your Endo Surgeon is a patient experience platform designed to collect, moderate, and publish personal accounts of endometriosis care in Australia. The platform operates across two stages:

•       Stage 1 — Data collection only. Submissions are gathered for internal research and moderation. No content is publicly displayed.

•       Stage 2 — Public publication. Moderated submissions are published for transparency and patient advocacy purposes.

We expressly:

•       Do not investigate clinical outcomes or verify medical accuracy of individual accounts;

•       Do not rank practitioners based on clinical competence;

•       Do not determine whether conduct was negligent, fraudulent, or unlawful;

•       Do not endorse or verify any user Submission.

We reserve the right to expand, restrict, or modify the Website’s functionality at any time without notice.

3. No Medical or Legal Advice

The Website does not provide medical, legal, psychological, or professional advice of any kind.

•       Content and user Submissions represent individual opinions and experiences only.

•       Nothing on this Website constitutes a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, legal opinion, or professional consultation.

•       Use of this Website does not create a doctor-patient, solicitor-client, or any other professional relationship.

•       You must seek independent professional advice for any health, legal, or regulatory matter.

•       In a medical emergency, contact 000 (Australia) or your local emergency services provider.

4. Eligibility

To use this Website and submit content, you must:

•       Be at least 18 years of age (or have documented parental or guardian consent if under 18);

•       Be submitting information that directly relates to your own genuine personal experience;

•       Provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge;

•       Not be submitting on behalf of a competitor, media organisation, legal representative, or third party;

•       Not be receiving payment or other incentive to submit content.

We may refuse, restrict, or revoke access to the Website at our discretion and without notice.

5. User Submissions

By submitting a review or any other content (Submission), you represent and warrant that:

1.     The Submission reflects your genuine, first-hand personal experience.

3.     You are the sole author of the Submission and it is your original content.

4.     You are not submitting the Submission on behalf of any third party, organisation, or competitor.

5.     You are not receiving any financial or other benefit in exchange for the Submission.

6.     Your Submission is an expression of personal opinion and experience, not a statement of independently verified fact.

7.     Your Submission does not and will not infringe any third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or defamation rights.

You agree that your Submission will NOT include:

•       Allegations of criminal conduct, fraud, malpractice, negligence, or unlawful activity;

You acknowledge that this Website is not a complaint handling body, regulator, medical tribunal, or legal reporting channel, and that submitting a review does not initiate any investigation.

6. Licence to Use Submissions

By submitting content, you grant Know Your Endo Surgeon a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, worldwide licence to:

•       Store, process, and analyse your Submission for internal research and platform development purposes;

•       Publish your Submission on the Website (Stage 2 and beyond), subject to moderation;

•       Edit, redact, summarise, reformat, or translate your Submission;

•       Use de-identified or anonymised content for research, reporting, and advocacy purposes;

•       Retain records of your Submission for legal, compliance, and audit purposes;

We will not publicly disclose your identifying personal information without your consent, except as required by law.
